Terms & conditions

Last updated 13 October 2026

1. About these terms

These terms apply when you create an account or buy a course from Herpetological & Wildlife Academy, operated by Wright's Reptiles, Address to be confirmed, United Kingdom. Please read them with our cancellation policy and privacy policy.

2. What you are buying

  • Single course (£90 unless shown otherwise): a personal, non-transferable licence to access that course online, including future updates to it.
  • All-Access Pass (£119.99): the same licence for every course marked “In All-Access” at the time of purchase. Courses released after your purchase are not included and must be bought separately. There is no upgrade discount from a single course to the All-Access Pass.

Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable.

3. Lifetime access

“Lifetime access” means access for as long as we operate the academy. If we withdraw a course or close the academy, we will give at least 90 days' notice by email and allow you to download the course notes and your certificates. We may update course content to keep it accurate; we will not materially reduce a course you have bought.

3a. Team licences

Organisations can buy seats for their staff or students at £60 per person for a single course or £99.99 per person for All-Access, with a minimum of 2 students per order. The buyer must be acting for a business or organisation and becomes the team's manager. A seat is used when a learner accepts an invitation. A seat is returned to the licence only if the learner is removed before completing any lesson; after that it stays assigned to that learner. All-Access team seats cover the courses in the collection at the time of purchase. Team purchases are business-to-business contracts, so the consumer 14-day cancellation right does not apply. Team seats are non-refundable, including seats that have not been assigned or used. This does not affect your rights if a course is faulty or not as described.

4. Your account

Accounts are for one person. You must not share your login, or copy, record, redistribute or resell course content. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms.

5. Assessments and certificates

Certificates confirm completion of an online course and its online assessments at or above the published pass mark. They are not accredited qualifications, licences or proof of practical competence. See our certificates explained.

6. Educational content — important safety information

Courses are for general education. They do not replace advice from a qualified veterinary surgeon or medical professional, and do not qualify you to handle venomous or dangerous animals. Always follow current professional guidance and the law, including the Dangerous Wild Animals Act 1976 where relevant. In a medical emergency, call 999.

7. Cancellation and refunds

See our cancellation & refunds policy.

8. Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited by law, and nothing affects your statutory rights. Otherwise, our total liability to you is limited to the price you paid for the relevant course.

9. Complaints and law

Please contact hello@example.co.uk with any complaint. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales; if you live elsewhere in the UK you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
